What are your hours of operation?
Walser’s Landing facilities are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week during the operating season.
Do I need a reservation to use the launch?
You do not require a reservation. The boat launch and docking are available on a first come first served basis. Please do not block the ramp with unattended vehicles or other objects.
Is there a launch attendant to guide me, back my trailer up, and help?
Walser’s Landing is a non-staffed facility. If you do not have the expertise to back your trailer and launch your boat, we recommend you practice in a controlled environment prior to visiting Walser’s Landing.
Is there parking available?
Walser’s Landing has an abundance of parking available.
Is the parking lot secured and protected?
Walser’s Landing does not employee security guards and parking is at your own risk.
Are there public washrooms available?
Washroom facilities are currently not available but there is an outhouse if needed. The outhouse is located at the entrance to the parking lot.
Is there fuel available?
Fuel is currently not available.
Do you repair boats or offer mechanical services?
Walser's Landing does not offer any repair or mechanical services.
Do you have maximum recommended boat sizes for the launch?
In general, boats over 21’ long should consider larger cement pad launches at the surrounding marinas.
Is there moorage available after launching, or if I want to stay overnight on my boat?
Limited moorage is available. Please call 519-843-1860 to confirm availability.
Do you offer marine septic dumping services?
Walser’s Landing does not offer marine dumping services.
Do you offer hookups such as hydro and water?
Walser’s Landing currently does not offer any type of marine hookups.
What type of fish can you catch in Iroquois Bay?
Bass, Pike, Lake Trout, and Musky are the most common gamefish in Iroquois Bay.
Do you offer boat & motor rentals?
Limited boat rentals are available. Please call 519-843-1860 to confirm availability.
What is Walser’s Road like?
Walser’s Road can be bumpy and have washed out sections depending on the time of year and weather conditions. There are also steep sections with loose gravel. Vehicles towing boats should have 4-wheel drive available and adequate ground clearance. Pick-up trucks are ideal. Van’s and some SUVs can run into challenges.
Can I bring my dog to the launch?
Dogs are allowed at the launch ramp. Please stoop & scoop and always keep them leashed.
Can I camp, swim, and/or picnic at the launch?
Walser’s Landing currently does not offer camping or picnicking facilities, and there is no beach for swimming.
What types of payment do you take?
Cash, cheque, online, and e-transfer are available. Payments can be deposited in the drop box in the sign in booth beside the boat launch. Please inquire about e-transfer if needed.
Do you refund launch fees if the weather is bad?
Walser’s Landing offers no weather guarantees and does not refund based on inclement weather.
Are there wild animals, poison ivy, or stinging insects near the launch?
Walser’s Landing is an uncontrolled natural environment and potential natural hazards such as wild animals, insects, and noxious plants are always a possibility.
Is there a store and/or food and beverage services available?
Walser’s Landing currently does not offer any retail services.
Do you sell fishing lures, licenses, or live bait?
Walser’s Landing currently does not offer any retail services.
Do you have public Wi-Fi available?
Public Wi-Fi is currently not available.
Is there cell service at the launch?
The launch is currently serviced by most national cell providers.
Do you have a nurse, first-aid station, or other emergency assistance available?
In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911 and for less serious situations Espanola Hospital is approximately a 35-minute drive north.
